Angry Birds 2
Angry Birds 2 review
Angry Birds 2 is the complete package. It has terrific gameplay, an impeccable soundtrack, superb graphics, and a lifetime supply of fun. You can get stuck playing this game forever. There’s just no getting enough of assured destruction, almost like a sociopathic tendency to destroy every piggie that lies in your path.
The aim of Angry Birds 2 as the rest of the franchise is to use different species of birds to destroy structures nearby. You achieve this by launching the birds using a slingshot in a 2D fashion. The game’s physics engine simulates the destruction of these structures, with the scope and size of the structures increasing as you progress in level. You’ll also fight against bosses, in this case, protagonist green pigs. In this version of Angry Birds, you cast spells instead of using power-ups. A key deviation from previous releases is the ability to select different bird species from a deck of cards. You can also unlock the arena after surpassing level 5, which opens you up to online competition and a shot at the leaderboards.
As you aim and launch your birds, try to go for perfect shots as these earn you three stars.
The graphics are beautiful, distinct and amazing. It’s a cross between surreal 2D environments on the fringes of 3D backdrops made up of beautiful art. The game’s physics simulate destruction as would be experienced in the real world. Those Piggie’s towers sure do come tumbling down spectacularly. Even better is the fact that the game provides different cinematic backdrops for each level, keeping everything feeling fresh and spectacular.
The only thing that you’ll need to do is to aim the leader at the position of the piggie tower where you want to hit first. How you hit the piggie directly influences the outcome of the game, giving it a high replay value despite the simple controls. Just swipe back on the sling carrying your bird and move your finger up and down to aim the leader. Lift your finger to release and watch every tower in your way tumble down.
