The Battle Cats
The Battle Cats review
There are a lot of issues to be solved like wars and crises, but there’s also a bigger thread coming. The Battle Cats are already here to meow your mind and nothing can stop them! Also, to be honest, you can’t stop them, but you can lead them. Let an army of cute, fluffy and a bit weird cats rule the World? We say YES!
The aim of every battle is to defeat your enemies and protect your own tower. You can improve your tower, but the points you earn are mainly spent to upgrade your army. By the way, all your troops are cats. Cute, adorable, heart-nosed doodled kitties. Your enemies or your cats’ enemies are real-life cat opponents: hippos, stick figures, and dogs. The game offers multiple levels to reach. Each level starts off with your tower and a slowly growing wallet. The more money you earn, the more cats you can send out. If you want to increase your wallet’s capacity, you can do it with a button that also speeds up to quickly accumulate money. The main idea is: more, more, more. More money, more cats, more wins. The only difference between levels is the type of the enemy tower.
A cat has nine lives (as usual) and after it dies you have to wait a few seconds and earn $50 to regenerate it.
What else cats do besides slaying the World and regenerating? Mhmm, let us guess...eat? Feed your cats with by getting food cans. Cat food cans are gained every time you win on a new map. You also get 10 cans each day you sign in. Every win also brings you XP to spend and occasionally rare tickets to use in the rare cat capsules.
Capsules are where you'll find the special cats like Sushi Cats, Viking Cats, Nerd Cats, etc. The cat you get is random and if you unlock duplicates, they can be converted to XP points or saved in cat storage. The points are used to improve cats to stronger and stranger cats.
The Battle Cats is a 2D game. It looks like exactly as it sounds: lovely, fluff-pawed with a bit of tough and ready-to-fight cats. Doodled characters are more than cute and they can’t leave you unamazed. Beware of becoming addicted! The cartoon-styled game takes only 127 MB of device storage and runs smoothly with no errors. Animation and graphics are done properly for a simplified free-to-play 2D game. But who even cares for that while there are so many cats to lead...
Commanding an army of cats never been easier. All you do is scroll and tap. Tap on the needed cat to make it fight or tap on the weapon to activate it. Scroll left and right to discover your enemies. Tap again to fight them and then tap to unlock new cats from capsules. That’s it. We bet you already imagined the cat empire you can create.
